Man nabbed for presenting fake documents at Davao airport

MANILA, Philippines — A 50-year-old passenger bound for Manila was arrested after he allegedly presented fake documents to an airline personnel at the Davao International Airport on Tuesday.
The airline personnel alerted the airport police after noting inconsistencies in the suspect’s documents.
Members of the police Aviation Security Group arrested the man after confirming irregularities in the barangay identification card and birth certificate that he presented at the check-in counter.
The documents were validated by the Philippine Statistics Authority, which confirmed that the papers were tampered with.
