3 Laguna cop chiefs relieved for poor performance

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Three police chiefs in Laguna have been relieved from their posts due to poor performance, particularly in stopping illegal gambling in their respective jurisdictions.
Lt. Cols. Erwin Bañas Legayada and Allan Reginald Basiya of the San Pedro and Biñan component city police stations, respectively, were replaced by Lt. Col. Reynaldo Vitto and Richard Corpuz.
Legayada was designated as chief of the Laguna police operations and management unit, where Basiya was also assigned.
Maj. Ruffy Raduyo, chief of the Bay municipal police, was replaced by Maj. Gerry Malipol, who will assume the post in acting capacity.
Calabarzon police director Brig. Gen. Hansel Marantan said that the “one-, two- and three-strike policy” is being strictly observed in the region.
