New chemotherapy center in Laguna opened

LAGUNA , Philippines — Cancer patients in this province may avail themselves of free chemotherapy services at the newly opened AML Life-Care Chemotherapy Center in Sta. Rosa City.
The center was launched by the city government led by Mayor Arlene Arcillas in partnership with John Paul Aclan, chairman and chief executive officer of the Aclan Group of Companies and We Hope Medical Group.
The program aims to expand access to life-saving treatment, particularly for indigent patients who struggle with the high cost of chemotherapy.
The facility in Sta. Rosa was opened on Monday while a similar center at the San Pablo District Hospital will be officially opened on April 28.
Another chemotherapy center at the Bay District Hospital will start operation on May 7, to be followed by similar facilities in San Pedro, Calamba and Biñan. The chemotherapy center in Sta. Cruz has started operating.
Aclan said the establishment of additional chemotherapy centers is part of the strategy of the Aclan Group of Companies and We Hope Medical Group to strengthen public health services.
Arcillas thanked the Aclan Medical Group for putting up a chemotherapy center in Sta. Rosa.
