MANILA, Philippines — Motorists in Metro Manila may experience slow traffic amid the transport of a tunnel boring machine for the subway project, the Department of Transportation said on Friday.

In a statement, the DOTr said the tunnel boring machine would be transported from the Manila Harbor Center to Tandang Sora station.

People may experience slow traffic until April 13, it added.

The transport of the machine is expected to affect R-10, C4 Road, Monumento, EDSA, Congressional Avenue and Mindanao Avenue.

“The machine will be used in the construction of the tunnels that shall connect the MMSP’s Tandang Sora station and Quirino Highway station,” the DOTr said, referring to the Metro Manila subway project.

“Motorists are advised to take alternate routes,” the agency added.
