MANILA, Philippines — Almost a month after the government adopted energy-saving protocols amid the soaring fuel prices, the Office of the Vice President (OVP) will start enforcing a four-day workweek.

OVP offices are open from Monday to Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Remote work arrangements are set for Fridays.

“Only the central records unit remains open to receive documents,” the OVP said.

The OVP shifted to a four-day workweek arrangement pursuant to Memorandum Circular No. 114 issued by Malacañang.

On March 9, President Marcos ordered state agencies to conserve energy amid the Middle East war.
