DAVAO CITY, Philippines — Police have denied allegations that Davao City Rep. Paolo “Pulong” Duterte has been arrested following an alleged raid on his property.

Col. Peter Madria, Davao City police chief, described as fake news posts on social media that said Duterte was arrested.

Residents including journalists and vloggers flocked to Duterte’s property on Monday night after reports of his arrest spread online.

Authorities said Duterte is in The Hague, visiting his detained father, former president Rodrigo Duterte.
