MANILA, Philippines — Shabu with a street value of P38.6 million was intercepted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Tuesday.
The illegal drugs weighing 5.69 kilos were concealed in three parcels consigned to a Filipino and two foreigners, according to Philippine National Police chief Gen. Jose Melencio Nartatez Jr.
The shipments originated from Canada, Pakistan and Zambia.
Customs Commissioner Ariel Nepomuceno led the inspection and turnover of the contraband to the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency.
