101,807 TB cases logged in NCR

MANILA, Philippines — The Department of Health has recorded 101,807 tuberculosis or TB cases in the National Capital Region, a data from the DOH Epidemiology Bureau-Integrated Tuberculosis Information System showed.
“We can do something about this. There are services that can help you. TB is curable. Don’t worry and don’t be ashamed of it. The situation only becomes difficult if you hide or delay treatment,” said Lester Tan, regional director of the DOH Metro Manila Center for Health Development.
Tan said the MMCHD is conducting a more aggressive campaign for the early detection, timely treatment and preventive care of TB
