MANILA, Philippines —  Retirees and employees of the House of Representatives can now avail themselves of health and wellness aid through the Alagang Kongreso program.

Three segments of the institutional care program are comprised of the Dakilang Yugto aid for retired secretariat personnel, Suporta sa Bayan Desk and an executive check-up package.

“Once we make access to check-ups easier, give clearer support system for retirees and bring a better help desk for citizens, the institution extends its humane side by way of giving consistent and efficient service,” House Majority Leader Sandro Marcos said.

House secretary general Cheloy Garafil said the health component answers a common problem in public institutions, wherein workers delay check-ups due to cost, time or the inconvenience of arranging them on their own.
