CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — The special investigation task group formed to solve the murder of an official of the Puerto Princesa International Airport (PPIA) has identified persons of interest in the case.

The task group reviewed video footage of a closed-circuit television camera installed at the crime scene to identify possible suspects or persons of interest, along with images of the vehicle that the assailants used in fleeing, according to Capt. Bryan Rayoso, spokesman for the PPIA.

Rayoso said that based on the analysis of the footage, probers were able to confirm that the two motorcycle-riding men seen on the video are the ones that police are currently pursuing.

Joana Infante, 50, administrative officer of the Civil Aviation Authority of the Philippines based at the PPIA, was shot dead on Wednesday afternoon in Barangay San Pedro.

Infante was rushed to a nearby hospital where she died while being treated of gunshot wounds.

Col. Cristine Tabdi, Puerto Princesa City police chief, formed the special investigation task group “Infante” shortly after the killing to solve the case.
