Motorist loses belongings to thieves

Emmanuel Tupas - The Philippine Star

MANILA, Philippines — A motorist lost his wristwatches and other personal belongings to members of a basag-kotse gang in Calamba, Laguna on Tuesday.

The complainant, identified only as Nilo, told police that he parked his car in front of a supermarket in Barangay Parian.

He said that when he returned at around 7:20 p.m., he saw that one of the windows of the car was broken.

Nilo said his sling bag – which contained two wristwatches, bank cards, driver’s license and identification cards – was missing.

Video footage from a closed-circuit television camera  installed in the area showed two men wearing jackets and ball caps as responsible for the crime.

The suspects were seen fleeing on a motorcycle.
