Guanzon, Llamas exchange barbs

MANILA, Philippines — Former Commission on Elections (Comelec) commissioner Rowena Guanzon and political analyst Ronald Llamas yesterday traded barbs online.
Prior to this, Guanzon had gone viral on social media after she was recorded on video berating a Chinese mallgoer in Makati over the weekend.
Guanzon said Llamas started attacking her by insinuating that she had wrongly criticized a Chinese man who allegedly told her to leave Rockwell mall after she coughed once due to an itchy throat.
“Bumaba na naman self-esteem ko. Wala akong Rolex and Gucci eh,” Llamas posted online, apparently referring to Guanzon’s outburst.
Guanzon hit back at Llamas, saying, “it is normal for him to experience low self-esteem because he is ugly.”
She said Llamas has no right to criticize her because she did not commit any crime.
“He was the one who was arrested in the past for illegal gun possession,” she said.
Guanzon said it is not bad to own a Gucci or a Rolex, adding that she did not steal these.
Llamas laughed off the criticism hurled against him by Guanzon.
He even reposted on his Facebook account all the accusations previously made against him.
“Tulungan natin sila nang mas magandang banat sa akin: kaliwa yan, nope, dilawan pala! Hindi yan political analyst, marites, tibak at alaskador lang. College dropout! Mahilig sa pirated DVD, boy AK-47, laos na panget na kalbo & my fave, paid hack-CIA agent yan,” Llamas posted.
Netizens expressed support for Llamas, whom they said has a good sense of humor.
They advised Llamas to just ignore Guanzon.
Guanzon to sue Chinese man
Guanzon said she would file complaints for unjust vexation and grave oral defamation against the Chinese man known only as Manix Ramos.
Guanzon said she could not let the incident pass, especially after she was publicly humiliated.
After eating spicy noodles with a friend, Guanzon said her throat itched and she coughed two feet away from Ramos.
“Contagious? One cough only and I already have tuberculosis?” Guanzon told dzRH. “I said, ‘F**k you!’ My national pride was hurt.”
In the viral video, Guanzon was seen shouting at Ramos and his wife, a bank lawyer, with a security guard preventing a mallgoer from recording the exchange.
“Who is this stupid, ignoramus, elitist motherf***er?” Guanzon said in the video while pointing at the man. “You’re not even wearing a Rolex or a Gucci.”
Both camps tried to settle at the police station, but the couple left after the Chinese man refused to apologize.
