MANILA, Philippines — Employees working today are entitled to holiday pay, according to the Department of Labor and Employment.

The DOLE said the “no work, no pay” policy is enforced for the Feast of the Immaculate Conception unless another company policy, practice or collective bargaining agreement grants payment on special days.

Workers rendering services during this special non-working holiday will receive an additional 30 percent of their daily wage.

Overtime work will be compensated with another 30 percent of the hourly rate.

Employees working on their rest day will receive an additional 50 percent of their daily rate on the first eight hours of work.
