MANILA, Philippines — The remains of a Filipino Eternity C crewman killed by Houthi rebels in the Red Sea arrived in Manila on Saturday.

Neil Roy Faner’s remains will be cremated in Manila before being taken to his home province Iloilo, the Overseas Workers Welfare Administration (OWWA) said.

Financial aid and death benefits will be provided to Faner’s family, OWWA deputy administrator Jasmine Gapatan said.

“OWWA will also give scholarships for his dependents, with integration and livelihood for those he left behind,” Gapatan said.

The OWWA is ready to extend psychosocial counseling to the family.
