Woman found dead in Laguna

CAMP VICENTE LIM, LAGUNA, Philippines — A woman was found dead in an apartment in Victoria, Laguna on Friday.

The remains of Charil Opon was found in bed by her fellow bakery workers at past 5 a.m.

The workers told probers that Opon failed to report to work for two days, prompting them to go to her apartment located in Barangay Masapang.

Reports said there were no signs of struggle in the room where Opon was found. The woman was reportedly living alone in the apartment.

Probers have yet to receive the result of an autopsy conducted on the cadaver to determine the cause of her death.
