STL collector found dead in Laguna

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — A small-town lottery (STL) collector was stabbed dead by an unidentified assailant in San Pablo, Laguna on Friday night.

The body of Marilou Arogancia, 59, was found lying along the road in Barangay San Antonio 1 at past 8 p.m., according to Col. Junar Yupio, Laguna police director.

Witnesses told probers that they were passing through the area when they spotted Arogancia, who bore a stab wound in the body.

Emergency responders and police officers rushed Arogancia to the San Pablo District Hospital, where the victim was declared dead on arrival.

Probers have yet to determine the motive for the killing and identify suspects.
