Motorcycle falls off Benguet cliff; 2 dead
TUBA, Benguet , Philippines – Two people were killed when their motorcycle plunged into a ravine in this town on Wednesday morning.
Probers said the victims were traveling along Asin Road in Barangay Tadiangan when they figured in the accident at past 10 a.m.
Emergency responders retrieved the remains of the victims and brought them to a funeral parlor along Marcos Highway.
Meanwhile, members of a search and retrieval team have recovered the remains of the last missing passenger of a truck that fell into a river in Bontoc, Mountain Province on Monday.
Edmund Romeo was found on Wednesday, the third day of the search and rescue operation launched in Barangay Tocucan. Three of the fatalities were retrieved shortly after the accident.
The driver reportedly lost control of the wheel after the truck collided with two other vehicles.
The fatalities were on their way to a construction site in Sadanga town when they figured in the accident.
