Philippines most wanted held in Muntinlupa

MANILA, Philippines —  The most wanted person in the country, tagged in the murder of a woman in Panabo City, Davao del Norte in 2021 was arrested in Muntinlupa City on Monday, the police Criminal Investigation and Detection Group reported yesterday.

CIDG director Maj. Gen. Robert Alexander Morico II said the suspect, known only as Robert, was apprehended in Barangay Alabang.

Morico said Robert is the most wanted person in the country.

The government has offered a bounty of P375,000 for his arrest.

Robert’s arrest was made by virtue of a warrant for murder issued by a court in Panabo City in February 2022.

Police said Robert allegedly shot dead the owner of an eatery on Aug. 18, 2021.

The female victim died from a gunshot to the head. Her helper was injured in the incident.

After the court issued a warrant for Robert’s arrest, the suspect left Davao and hid in Muntinlupa.
