LAGUNA , Philippines – Classes were disrupted at the University of Perpetual Help System-Laguna yesterday morning after one of its faculty members reportedly received a call threatening to bomb the campus.

The caller, who introduced himself as Kelly Dump, reportedly told the faculty member that the bomb would explode at 1 p.m.

The call was received at past 10 a.m., prompting school administrators  to immediately seek the help of the police.

Responding members of the Laguna police Explosive and Ordnance Disposal Unit scoured the campus located in Barangay Sto. Niño in Biñan, but found no bomb, according to Lt. Col. Allan Reginald Basiya, city police chief.

School administrators decided to suspend classes and sent students home for safety.
