Wage consultation set for Western Visayas worker

MANILA, Philippines — Minimum wage earners and household workers or kasambahay in Western Visayas are expected to receive a higher take-home pay as the Regional Tripartite Wages and Productivity Board has set a public consultation on wage adjustment.
The RTWPB invited representatives of employers, workers, household workers and other stakeholders to attend the public hearing in Iloilo City on Oct. 8.
The wage adjustment will cover workers in Aklan, Antique, Capiz, Guimaras and Iloilo.
Earlier, the RTWPB issued new wage orders in the National Capital Region, Calabarzon and Central Visayas.
