2 Israelis nabbed for scam activities

MANILA, Philippines — Two Israeli nationals have been arrested for allegedly operating a scam hub in Pampanga, the Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported yesterday.
Beniashvili Tzahy, 30, and Liel Arzi, 25, were collared on Sept. 5 in a commercial building along Henson street in Barangay Lourdes Northwest in Angeles City.
The suspects were reportedly caught operating a work station with several computer units linked to trading applications, according to Rendel Ryan, chief of the BI-fugitive search unit.
The arrest stemmed from intelligence reports tagging the suspects in a business process outsourcing operation engaged in scams.
The suspects reportedly deceived people by offering them fake investment mentorship programs and trading opportunities that would generate high revenues. They reportedly persuaded their victims to give details of their bank accounts.
Records showed that Tzahy has a working visa applied on his behalf by a different company. Arzi only has a tourist visa.
The Israeli nationals will remain under the custody of the BI while undergoing deportation proceedings.
