Malabon households get Blue Card aid

MANILA, Philippines — Up to 93,409 households in Malabon began receiving yesterday the fourth tranche of financial aid under the Malabon Ahon Blue Card program.

According to the local government, the distribution, which runs until Oct. 31, fulfills the city government’s commitment to bring services closer to residents.

Beneficiaries can claim the cash aid through BancNet ATMs, United Storefront Services Corp. outlets nationwide or use their Blue cards directly as debit cards in establishments with point-of-sale devices.

Launched in 2022, the program also covers burial, hospitalization and education assistance.

As of Aug. 27, 93,457 Blue cards had been distributed to households in Malabon.
