3 held for convenience store robbery in Laguna
CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines — Three people believed behind the robbery in a convenience store in Cabuyao, Laguna were arrested on Thursday night.
The suspects identified only as Jason, 26; Reynaldo, 41, and Ronel, 24, were collared in a follow-up operation in Barangay Marinig. A manhunt was launch for the suspects’ companion.
Reports said two robbers entered a convenience store in Barangay Gulod at dawn on Wednesday, while two others waited outside, according to Lt. Col. Randy Oliquino, Cabuyao police chief.
Video footage of a closed-circuit television camera showed the suspects poked a gun at the cashier and took the money amounting to P4,975. The suspects fled on two motorcycles.
Store workers immediately reported the incident to the police, which tracked down three suspects in Barangay Marinig.
