Cop helps woman deliver baby in Bataan

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — A policeman who is a former registered nurse helped a woman give birth to a baby under a tree in Orani, Bataan on Wednesday.

M/Sgt. Ronald Imperial of the Orani police responded to a 911 emergency call about a woman who was about to give birth.

Imperial and his team found the woman having labor pains under the tree, according to Col. Marites Salvadora, Bataan police director.

Imperial assisted the woman, who was reportedly suffering from a mental disability, deliver her baby safely.

Residents lauded the officers for immediately acting on their call.
