MANILA, Philippines — The University of the Philippines Los Baños (UPLB) emerged as a top-performing school after achieving a 100-percent passing rate in the 2025 electrical engineering licensure examination.

Based on the results from the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC), all 30 UPLB examinees passed the licensure exam.

UP Diliman also posted a 100-percent passing rate for all its 19 examinees.

According to the PRC, top-performing schools are those that had at least 25 passers and an overall passing rate of at least 80 percent of the examinees.

For this year, a total of 1,240 of the 3,186 examinees passed the licensure examination.

 Two UP graduates landed in the top 10 – Don Jose Fernando del Rosario of UPLB who ranked ninth with a rating of 89.85 percent and John Laurence Elambayo of UP Diliman who placed 10th with 89.80 percent.

Jolly Babe Mallari Siago of the Cebu Institute of Technology-University ranked first with 93.45 percent.
