Woman nabbed for car theft

MANILA, Philippines — A businesswoman wanted for car theft and other charges was arrested upon arrival at the Clark International Airport from Hong Kong on Friday.

The suspect, whose identity was not immediately available, has been convicted for car theft and has pending cases involving similar offenses filed before the Quezon City Regional Trial Court Branch 215.

Verification through the e-warrant system showed that an alias warrant for another carjacking case was issued against the suspect by the Balanga Regional Trial Court Branch 92 in Bataan.

The court recommended bail of P300,000 for the temporary liberty of the suspect, who was turned over to the Quezon City police.
