Quezon City probes falling debris incident

MANILA, Philippines — The Quezon City government is looking into an incident involving falling debris from a condominium building along Tomas Morato Avenue, which injured three students on Tuesday.
The local government said its Social Services and Development Department would provide assistance to the students and their families.
“We have directed our offices to study any possible cases that may be filed against those responsible,” the city government said. “We have launched a probe to hold accountable those at fault for this incident, which could have been prevented.”
Two of the three students were reportedly severely injured after a piece of plaster from the upper portion of the building fell while they were walking at the corner of Tomas Morato and Roces Avenue.
The students were rushed to the nearby Capitol Medical Center for treatment.
