Central Luzon Police buys 455 handheld radios
CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — As part of continuing efforts to modernize police operations and enhance field communication, the Central Luzon Police Office has procured 455 handheld radios needed in the region’s police stations.
Brig. Gen. Ponce Rogelio Peñones Jr., Central Luzon police chief, said the radio units, intended to enhance communication and ensure faster response among police units in both urban and remote areas, are ready for distribution.
Peñones said the Central Luzon Police is expected to procure more of the communication device in the coming months as part of the commitment to ensure public safety.
“This initiative reflects our commitment to improving operational capability at the ground level. With the support of our local government units and partners, we are strengthening our readiness to respond to the needs of our communities,” Peñones said.
