15 hurt in Caloocan fire

MANILA, Philippines — Fifteen people suffered minor injuries while scrambling to save their belongings during a fire that broke out in Caloocan City on Saturday night.
According to barangay officials, the fire, which started at past 10 p.m. along East Libis in Barangay 160, displaced at least 34 families or more than 100 people.
Around 70 houses were destroyed.
The affected families are taking shelter at the barangay’s multipurpose hall.
Initial estimates placed the damage at P500,000. No deaths or injuries were reported.
Arson probers said they are still looking into the cause of the fire.
