4 held for using drugs in Taguig evacuation site

MANILA, Philippines — Four people were arrested for using illegal drugs at an evacuation center in Taguig on Wednesday night.

An evacuee at the Hagonoy Sports Complex reported the suspects to authorities, according to Capt. Johnny Sianen of the Taguig police substation 9.

Sianen told The STAR that two of the suspects – both in their 20s – were at the evacuation site with their families.

The other suspects – one in his 40s and the other in his 50s – arrived at the evacuation center with four sachets of suspected methamphetamine worth P21,080.

Police said the suspects are being held on drug charges.
