Philippine stamps to be featured in Bangkok
MANILA, Philippines — Philippine stamps will soon be featured at a gallery in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Philippine Postal Corp. has signed a deal with the Asian-Pacific Postal Union (APPU) to exchange stamps and philatelic materials.
Selected stamps will be featured at the Asian-Pacific Postal College Philatelic Gallery.
“We recognize the value of philately in bridging cultures, educating communities and celebrating our shared histories,” Postmaster General Luis Carlos said.
“Through this partnership, we are proud to showcase the stories and milestones of the Filipino people while strengthening ties with our regional counterparts,” he added.
Carlos and APPU secretary general Vinaya Prakash Singh signed the memorandum of agreement during a ceremony held jointly with the APPU Executive Council Meeting in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia.
This landmark partnership reaffirms the Philippines’ commitment to advancing postal and cultural diplomacy and contributing to the region’s shared heritage.
Singh said the initiative marks a significant step toward deepening cooperation among APPU’s member countries, saying the Philatelic Gallery will stand as a testament to their collective identity.
