COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A gunman killed a part-time freelance broadcaster inside a spa along Calina Street, Barangay Lagao in General Santos City yesterday.
Police identified the victim as Ali Macalintal – a broadcaster and endorser of health products in one of the radio stations in the city. Although rushed to a hospital, physicians declared him dead on arrival.
Investigators said Macalintal also worked as a massage therapist at Delmont Spa where he was attacked.
Officials of the General Santos City Police Office and Police Regional Office-12 said Macalintal’s attacker immediately escaped using a motorcycle. Both police units have launched an extensive manhunt.
