Reward offered for info on goat dealers’ killers

MANILA, Philippines — The local government of Calatagan in Batangas has offered P100,000 for any information that may lead to the arrest of people behind the murder of three goat dealers in Maguindanao del Sur.
The victims – Jhon Luis Olarte, 23; his cousin Gerry Ortega, 32, and their friend Ronald Alumno, 37 – were residents of Calatagan.
They were reported missing on May 11 and were found buried in a shallow grave in a rubber plantation in Barangay Nabundas in Shariff Saydona Mustapha on May 30.
The victims bore gunshot wounds. Their hands were bound and they were blindfolded, police said.
Relatives said the victims were transporters and not sellers of livestock.
A special investigation task group has been formed to handle the case.
