Family of 3 killed in Sarangani mishap

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — A couple and their three-year-old daughter died when their car collided with a truck in Malungon, Sarangani yesterday morning.

The fatalities – Abdulmajid Sarapudin, 35; his wife Ivy Lou, 33, and their daughter Colleen – were traveling along the highway in Barangay Talus when they figured in the accident that occurred amid heavy downpour, authorities said.

Arnel Pinque of the Malungon disaster risk reduction and management office said the victims were on their way to Davao City from General Santos City when their car swerved and crashed into the truck.

The truck driver, whose identity was not immediately available, has surrendered to the police.
