MANILA, Philippines — Vlogger Vitaly Zdorovetskiy will not be deported to Russia as he must serve over a year in prison for harassing Filipinos, according to Interior and Local Government Secretary Jonvic Remulla.

“Russia won’t take him back. The United States, where he is a green card holder, refused to accept him. We don’t know where to send him home to,” Remulla said.

Zdorovetskiy will undergo trial next week for three counts of unjust vexation, Remulla said.

If convicted, the Russian vlogger will face up to 18 months in prison.

Remulla said Zdorovetskiy has pleaded for the charges to be dropped, citing mental health issues.

Zdorovetskiy was nabbed in April after harassing Filipinos in public, filming his antics for his YouTube channel.
