Under the program, qualified college students will work as youth development workers who will tutor those struggling or non-reader pupils of participating schools. They will also conduct sessions for parents under the Department of Education’s expanded Tara, Basa (Let’s Read!) tutoring program.
Participating in the program are 1,512 college students, 5,040 learners and 5,040 parents.
The tutoring college students will receive P435 in daily pay over a period of 20 days within the first half of this year.
