Missing Vivamax actress, boyfriend surface

MANILA, Philippines —  A Vivamax actress who was reported missing with her boyfriend for over a week surfaced last night.

Karen Lopez went on Facebook Live and told her family and supporters that she is alive.

Lopez apologized if she caused anxiety among her relatives.

She surfaced an hour after the Quezon City Police District (QCPD) said it is investigating the actress’ disappearance.

Lopez reportedly went missing on May 5 after she and her boyfriend left her condominium unit along Scout Madrinan.

Police said there is no formal report or complaint filed by Lopez’s relatives about her supposed disappearance.

Police urged the people close to Lopez to coordinate with authorities.

The QCPD issued the statement in response to social media posts, saying that Lopez’s mother reported her missing as she could not be contacted through her cell phone and social media accounts.

Col. Randy Glenn Silvio, officer-in-charge of the QCPD, said they are looking for Lopez’s parents, believed to be from Mabalacat City in Pampanga.
