Lani Cayetano on track to secure reelection in Taguig

MANILA, Philippines — Incumbent Taguig Mayor Lani Cayetano is set to retain her seat as the city’s chief executive, according to the partial and unofficial results of the 2025 midterm elections.
As of 9:02 a.m., based on the Commission on Elections’ transparency server, Cayetano holds a comfortable lead over opponent Arnel Cerafica.
Cayetano has so far secured 318,710 votes while Cerafica has 79,324 votes.
Meanwhile, Arvin Alit is poised to win as vice mayor with 262,096 votes, defeating Janella Cerafica, who garnered 102,994 votes. The Ceraficas are husband and wife.
In the congressional race, Jorge Daniel Bocobo is also set to win the lone legislative district of Taguig with 115,457 votes.
The Cayetano family has held the Taguig mayoral seat since 2010, when Lani Cayetano first won the position. She served three terms until 2019, after which she swapped roles with her brother-in-law, Lino Cayetano.
