3 killed in Kalinga clash

BAGUIO CITY, Philippines — Three men were killed in an encounter with still unidentified gunmen in Tabuk, Kalinga yesterday morning.
The fatalities were identified as Santos, Tokar and Leo, all surnamed Calsiyao, of Barangay Basao Dilag in Tabuk.
Police are looking at the possibility that the incident was due to a tribal war.
Responding police found the victims’ bodies at the scene of the encounter, which occurred near the house of a village official in Barangay San Julian.
Police said they recovered two rifles and a shotgun from the fatalities. A manhunt has been launched for the assailants.
