Salceda, Co lead in Albay provincial race – SWS

MANILA, Philippines — Lakas candidates Joey Salceda and Diday Co are the top choices for governor and vice governor of Albay, a survey by the Social Weather Stations showed. 

The SWS survey, conducted from March 29 to April 5, showed Salceda leading in the gubernatorial race with 44 percent of voter preference, up by six percentage points from a previous poll.

The percentage translates to about 418,000 votes.

Former Legazpi City mayor Noel Rosal follows with 32 percent voter preference. 

Co, Salceda’s running mate, garnered 37 percent, gaining a seven-point increase from the previous survey.

Former journalist and broadcaster Jun Alegre trails Co with a steady base of support at 18 percent.
