Woman dies after being hit by bus on EDSA

MANILA, Philippines — A woman died after she was hit by a bus along the EDSA Carousel in Barangay Immaculate, Quezon City yesterday.

The accident occurred along the southbound lane of the EDSA busway at around 11:20 a.m., police said.

A passenger bus was traversing EDSA when it hit the woman who had crossed the express lane.

The victim died at the scene.

Police arrested the bus driver, Ricardo Surdilla, after the incident.
