6,147 pass medical technologist exam – PRC
MANILA, Philippines — A total of 6,147 examinees passed the medical technologist licensure examination given in March in several centers across the country, the Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) announced.
Jherry Andrei Arbotante of Velez College in Cebu City topped the exam with a score of 92.30 percent.
He is followed by Abel Isaac Felio of San Pedro College-Davao City, with 92 percent.
Trina Bernal of Cagayan State University-Andrews Campus placed third with a score of 91.80 percent.
Angel Jay Enrijo of Notre Dam Dadiangas University and Deo Prince Piapes of San Pedro College-Davao City placed fourth with a score of 91.60 percent.
There were also two fifth placers – Hannah Thea de Guzman of Saint Louis University and Precious Tabbu of Cagayan State University-Andrews Campus – both scoring 91.30 percent.
According to the PRC, the registration for the issuance of professional identification card and certificate of registration will be done online starting May 2.
Those who failed to pass the board examination for Medical Technology but obtained a general rating of at least 70 percent can register as medical laboratory technicians.
The Board of Medical Technology administered the licensure examination in the National Capital Region, Baguio, Cagayan de Oro, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Koronadal, Legazpi, Lucena, Pagadian, Pampanga, Rosales, Tacloban, Tuguegarao and Zamboanga.
