1,484 cops deployed for SUMVAC 2025

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — The Central Luzon police has deployed 1,484 officers across the region in preparation for the SUMVAC or Summer Vacation 2025.

Brig. Gen. Jean Fajardo, Central Luzon police director, said the deployment was also intended to secure people attending public activities such as town fiestas, Day of Valor and Flores de Mayo, which usually draw large crowds.

Fajardo said 602 police assistance desks have been set up in different areas in the region to assist travelers.

The Highway Patrol Group also deployed road safety marshals to manage traffic and prevent gridlocks.
