Family of 5 dies in Misamis road crash

COTABATO CITY, Philippines — Five members of a family died after their motorcycle collided with a truck in Initao, Misamis Oriental on Friday.

The fatalities included three children and their parents, according to a report released by the Misamis Oriental police.

Investigation showed the victims were headed to Cagayan de Oro City when they figured in the accident in Barangay Ginampang at around 3 p.m.

Probers said the motorcycle tried to overtake, causing it to crash into the truck.

Responding members of the Initao disaster risk reduction and management office rushed the victims to a hospital, where they were declared dead on arrival.
