3 men electrocuted in Tayabas

TAYABAS CITY, Quezon, Philippines — Three men died after getting electrocuted while installing a new electrical wire in Barangay Kanlurang Palale here Sunday.

According to the Tayabas City Police, the three were attempting to replace an old wire from a Meralco meter for a house about 50 meters away. When they tried to restore power, the three were electrocuted.

Police identified the victims only by their first names – Chris, Mel and Julian, a tricycle driver.

They were rushed to the Tayabas Community Hospital, where they were declared dead.
