CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna – A man was killed while his brother-in-law was wounded in an attack by three men in Dasmariñas, Cavite before dawn yesterday.

The victim, identified only as Johnny, 42, died instantly from a gunshot wound in the back.

Johnny’s brother-in-law, Christopher, was rushed to the Pagamutan ng Dasmariñas for treatment.

Investigation showed Johnny and Christopher were celebrating the New Year in front of their property in Barangay H2 when the suspects arrived at around 2 a.m.

One of the men allegedly drew a handgun and shot the victims before fleeing.

Although wounded, Christopher managed to seek help from neighbors.

Responding police officers recovered at the crime scene a handgun believed used in the attack.

Probers have yet to determine the motive for the attack.
