P8 million smuggled cigarettes seized in Zamboanga
Col. Zamboanga city police chief, said suspects Almohammad Sajili and Almujer Abdul were charged for violation of Republic Act 10863, or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

ZAMBOANGA CITY, Philippines – Police and intelligence operatives seized over P8 million worth of smuggled cigarettes and arrested two men during an anti-smuggling operation in Barangay Sta. Catalina early this week.

Col. Zamboanga city police chief, said suspects Almohammad Sajili and Almujer Abdul were charged for violation of Republic Act 10863, or the Customs Modernization and Tariff Act.

Sajili and Abdul reportedly claimed they were given P1,500 each to drive the van from the nearby Barangay Baliwasan.
