Grab driver killed in parking space row

MANILA, Philippines —  A dispute over a parking space led to the killing of a Grab driver in Quezon City on Tuesday.

The suspect, 45-year-old Rey Olea, was tagged by witnesses as the person who shot Patrick Diosana, 36, in Barangay Culiat.

Probers said the shooting occurred along Union Drive Extension as Diosana parked his car at around 5 p.m.

According to police, Olea allegedly fired at the victim multiple times.

The suspect fled on foot after the shooting.

Diosana’s neighbors brought him to the East Avenue Medical Center where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

Police obtained the testimony of another witness who said Olea and Diosana argued three weeks ago about the parking of vehicles in the area.

Olea remains at large.
