CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines — A five-year-old girl and a teacher died while three others were injured when their tricycle collided with a truck in Candaba, Pampanga on Monday night.

Christian Francis Evangelista, 47, and Rhian Mae Bersabe died while being treated at the ACE Hospital in Baliuag, Bulacan and St. Pio Medical Center in Candaba, respectively.

Tricycle driver Reynaldo Bersabe, 23; his son Dominic Rey, 2, and passenger Melanie Rodriguez, 23, were taken to the St. Pio Medical Center for treatment of injuries.

The truck, driven by Rafael Tamayo, was traveling in Pulong Palazan when it hit the tricycle at around 8:40 p.m.

Reports said the tricycle made a sudden turn, causing the truck to hit it.
