MANILA, Philippines — The government has condoned the debts of 3,527 agrarian reform beneficiaries in Tarlac amounting to P124.64 million as part of the implementation of the New Agrarian Emancipation Act signed by President Marcos last year.

Marcos distributed 4,663 certificates of condonation with release of mortgage, freeing the beneficiaries from their debts.

A beneficiary may be given more than one certificate because he can receive more than one certificate of land ownership award, depending on the technical description of the land.

Marcos thanked the farmers for their contributions to food security efforts and vowed to continue listening to their concerns.
